Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year!
The majority of my coursework will be available on each individual classroom through Google Classroom, but I am also working to shift material here as well. Please bear with me as I manage to make the time to shift materials to have them in a variety of places, and please know that Google Classroom will be the most important place to check for updates.

Hello!! And welcome to my BCHS Science pages.
I have created this site as a tool for all my students to utilize at some point. Please check your Subject Page to find the resources necessary for learning. These will be posted in both PowerPoint and Adobe formats.
I am a junior and senior high teacher at Barrhead Composite High School, with a BSc in Biological Sciences & Agriculture, and a BEd in Secondary Education.
I have been teaching in Barrhead for ten years, specifically in science 7 through 10. My passion is biology, but I enjoy all components of science.
I live on a self-proclaimed hobby farm, where we have an assortment of animals including Angus-Simmental cattle, horses, pigs, laying hens, and then cats and dogs. I enjoy activities such as reading, photography, crochet and horseback riding. One of my goals is to ride a 50 mile endurance ride in the next couple of years.
One of my highlights about being in the education system is being able to introduce students to the wonders of the natural world around them. A dream of mine was to create a field trip to Bamfield Marine Sciences Center, where I studied for part of my undergrad in the marine invertebrate zoology program.
As we progress this year, I am hoping to include images of activities that occur in our classroom. We are implementing the different learning styles, with an emphasis on our kinesthetic activities in a lab classroom. Please feel free to contact me at alix.debeaudrap@pembinahills.ca or contact our school, Barrhead Composite High School.
